                                                                                             Lougheed House Built in 1891 and originally known as “Beaulieu”, the French meaning “beautiful place”, Lougheed House is now a national historic site located in the Beltline district of Calgary.  The mansion was built in 1891 by Senator James Alexander Lougheed.  And it was regarded as “one of the finest residences in the Canadian northwest.”
