The Ice House is the first fully enclosed refrigerated building designed for year-round training in bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton. The geometry of the terrain at Canada Olympic Park was a critical element in the design of the building. Meeting the specifications of an Olympic racetrack was achieved by carving the building into the steep slope of the site.
