This Centre for Contemplative Practice explores the relationship between two types of spaces: contemplative space and non-contemplative space. The delineation between these two typologies and subsequently, the building form, is expressed through a solid / void relationship. The building begins as a solid block and contemplative space is carved away from the block to respond to the surrounding context.
