Linking Land Use Planning with Water Management

Lindsay Humber | Graduate Student Researcher (MEDes)

Mary-Ellen Tyler | Faculty Supervisor

This Masters Degree Project takes an ecohydrology approach to demonstrating the linkages between land use and water management within the semi-arid landscape of the Calgary region. It is suggested that integrating both terrestrial and aquatic water flows into water management practices can augment regional land use planning policy through understanding ecological, hydrological, and social interconnections at the landscape level.
