What is make Calgary?

makeCalgary: is a community based research platform in the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Environmental Design. It brings together faculty researchers, graduate students, industry professionals, and community partners to help design a bright future for Canada’s most enterprising city. Our fields are architecture and planning, our approach is interdisciplinary, and our process is participatory and inclusive. We’ve organized our research into four design criteria that define a great city. Learn how we are helping to make our city and its region more RESILIENT, VIBRANT, HEALTHY, and EQUITABLE.

    What is make Calgary Talk?

makeCalgaryTALK is a vehicle for stimulating discussion about current issues in urban planning, architecture, and design. Great cities aren’t just made with bricks and mortar. They’re also the result of an active dialogue between citizens, government, community leaders, design professionals, and the development and construction industries. By providing a multi-dimensional platform that supports this on-going conversation, EVDS students and researchers are helping to make the citizens of Calgary more informed and engaged in the future of their city.
